IRVINE, CA: Begonia Real Estate Development is excited to announce that Gerard Trapp has joined the team at Begonia as the Vice President of Capital Markets.
Mr. Trapp is directly responsible for structuring and sourcing all capital requirements for Begonia’s real estate portfolio of new construction and value-add development opportunities. He manages all aspects of Begonia’s investor relationships collaborating with banks, debt funds, institutions, private capital, family offices and LP investors. On the front line of funding requirements and leading the required capital allocations, Mr. Trapp will transform Begonia’s operating company and project entities to its next phase of growth in the real estate development space. “We are excited to introduce Gerard as our newest member of the Begonia family.” Announced Jiaming Zhang, CEO at Begonia. “His experience and in-depth knowledge will undoubtedly set forth a successful effort in the capital markets for Begonia.”
Gerard, or “G” comes in with over 15 years of experience, working prior for several buy-side alternative asset managers in various capacities including Vice President of Investments, Originations, Underwriting, Asset Management and Portfolio Management. As a seasoned portfolio manager, Mr. Trapp has extensive experience investing in both the private and public markets, having managed and closed over $2.0B of transactions across various property types. His strengths in management and capital advisory services focus on commercial real estate debt and equity.
